GEOCONCEPT SA, the leading designer of geographical optimization technologies for professionals, is today announcing the launch of Opti-Time 8.3, the new version of its geo-optimized scheduling software suite. A full web solution, Opti-Time manages appointment, customer service and delivery schedules.

From booking appointments to optimizing movements on the ground via the definition and consideration of business constraints, Opti-Time provides mobility decision-makers and operational staff with a comprehensive and customized solution for pinpoint, relevant, rapid and least-cost customer calls.

In its 8.3 version, Opti-Time offers users numerous enhancements:

New operational constraints

-New operational constraints, such as the management of composite vehicle fleets (motorbikes, trucks, HGVs), taking account of complex callout frequencies (3 times a week on different days for example), adjusting service call duration to take account of the efficiency of the technician, the temporary unavailability of resources owing to secondment or else the type of resource associated with the task (mandatory, preferred, forbidden), enhance the large array of constraints already featured in the solution (business rules, resource capabilities, clearances, technical details, priorities, customer constraints, repeat calls, overnight stays, callout slot times...).

Thanks to this modeling, appointment optimization is perfectly tailored to mobile resource activities, be they sales-related, technical or logistical.

New planning features

New features improve the ongoing quest for the best possible scheduling and make the planners' work easier:
  • The grouped scheduling of called by drag-and-drop from the basket makes light work of filtering calls and initiating stand-alone or grouped optimization;
  • Call grouping areas can be defined simply by importing sectors;
  • The ability to pre-assign  divisible tasks;
  • Mass processing of calls facilitates the updating of constraints, such as for example call priorities, resource allocation…;
  • Mass call postponement by shifting the timeslot request;
  • Among other things, sophisticated overnight stay management enables reinforcements to be mobilized and overnight stays to be adjusted;
  • The highlighting of those slots that already have a customer appointment when the appointment is made;
  • Alert lists can be defined to draw users' attention to outstanding tasks or customers who have not been visited in a long time, for example;
  • Ergonomic enhancements enable sophisticated schedule management (addition and deletion of locked days, of temporary posts, secondary work sites, details of unavailability, remembering list filters, browsing history…).

User profiles

Defining user profiles makes it possible to manage access to the data (schedules, resources…) and thus to limit a user's scope of action to the agency/store that concerns him.

Communication withTomTom WebFleet

-To improve the management of responses on the field, Opti-Time now communicates with TomTom WebFleet. This means that service agents receive assignments on their mobile terminals and interact with the solution directly from the field: capture and dispatch of detailed reports, time stamping of journeys, etc.
This feeding back of data makes it possible both to generate callout statistics (comparison of planned and actual) and to manage incidents in real time (emergency planning, for example). This connector complements other existing partnerships (Orange Business Service, Garmin…).

These enhancements not only make it possible to increase companies' competitiveness (estimated productivity increases of between 10 and 30%); they also improve customer satisfaction, with assignments fulfilled within the allotted time, greater flexibility and improved service quality.

Moreover, by using optimization solutions, the company is committing itself to an environmentally responsible approach and improving the working conditions of its human resources: fewer miles travelled lower CO2 emissions, simulated scheduling, and better sharing of the workload, less stress, fewer accidents...

To ensure these issues are addressed as effectively as possible, the Opti-Time 8.3 suite is available in 2 versions:
Opti-Time GeoScheduling for real time optimization and the Global GeoScheduling option, which enables overall optimization of the diaries of a number of resources over several days. A mobile add-on for smart phones and tablets (Android, iOS and Windows Phone), Opti-Time Mobile enables each resource on the ground to consult his or her diary information, in both connected and disconnected mode, and to communicate in real-time with the Opti-Time suite.
