GEOCONCEPT launches TourSolver for Geoconcept, a solution for optimization of tour maps dedicated to Geoconcept environment

Previously known as the solution for optimization of tours of Opti -Time editor before its merger with GEOCONCEPT, TourSolver is now compatible with Geoconcept GIS, offering to users a new mapping environment and advanced features for geographic analysis.

GEOCONCEPT, designer of technologies for geographic optimization for professionals, announces today on Mobility for Business the launch of TourSolver for Geoconcept, new version of TourSolver that builds on Geoconcept GIS and thus benefits of its display, analytic and quick calculation capabilities. TourSolver for Geoconcept is available within the Routing & Scheduling range, launched last October following the merger of the editor with Opti -Time.

Easy to implement, TourSolver is the ideal solution for companies that wish to adopt a tool for automation and optimization of management of tour maps, simple and quick payback.

Among the main features of TourSolver, one notes:
  • Constraints management:
A huge number of constraints are taken into account by the tool: customer-related (opening hours, frequency of visits, required skills ...), movable workers-related (working hours, night duties, legislation of driving time) and vehicles-related (capacity, charging time, traffic constraints ...).
  • Setup cost:
Operating costs can also be set to refine tour maps: hourly costs, fixed costs for usage or non-usage of vehicles, overall travel cost or per km, fixed cost per visit…
  • Fluidity in planning:
After modeling the activity performed, the user follows in real-time the optimization of tours from the dashboard. It can freely modify the schedule at any time (add / delete appointments, modify the order of visits).
  • Treatment of road network:
For efficient optimization, the software relies on comprehensive, accurate and regularly updated mapping data: road costs, traffic specifications related to the profile of the vehicle. The tool also takes into account the projected traffic flow, on the basis of traffic statistics.
